Teaching experience
I am currently teaching the Principles of Biological Investigation (BIOL 192) at the University of Nevada, Reno. BIOL 192 is an undergraduate introductory biology course where students gain hands-on experiences in biology laboratory activities and scientific writing. This semester is my third year of teaching the BIOL 192 course (as of 2021). As an instructor, I value student learning engagement. I make sure that students are engaged in active learning.
Before joining UNR, I was an undergraduate teaching assistant and tutor for three different undergraduate courses at the Claremont Colleges, CA, including General Chemistry (CHEM 014L/ 015L), Introductory Biology (BIOL 043L/ 044L), and Applied Ecology and Conservation (BIOL 138L/139).

Teaching with technology
In Spring 2021, I take a Teaching with Technology (TwT) certificate course at the UNR. Here, I learn how to design a teaching course to encourage student learning and participation and integrate educational technology (EdTech) into teaching. This is a semester-long program where students who enrolled in the TwT program will implement EdTech to their current teaching course. Feel free to follow links on the right side to my EdTech philosophy and implementation reports that I applied the EdTech to my teaching course to increase student learning and engagement.

Educational outreach
Besides teaching undergraduate courses, I actively participate in the UNR's Museum of Natural History outreach. In 2019, I helped organize a Valentine's Day event on mate selection and reproduction of butterflies and moths.
